Frontier Airlines AUS-MCI f9 1735 flight

Frontier Airlines start flights between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Kansas City International Airport (MCI) with flight f9 1735 departing Kansas City at 7:28 p.m. CST. This new route brings the number of nonstop destinations served by Frontier in Kansas City to 14, and is the second nonstop destination served by the carrier from Austin.

Following are the new flight schedules:

Route Departs Arrives Frequency Aircraft
AUS-MCI 9:00 a.m. 10:50 a.m. Daily, except Sun E170
MCI-AUS 7:28 p.m. 9:23 p.m. Daily, except Sat E170

This new route will be flown by the carrier’s Embraer 170 aircraft. The 76-seat E170 features comfortable two-by-two all-leather seating. In addition, the E170 features several rows of STRETCH seating, which provides an extra five inches of comfortable legroom. The Company’s E170 and E190 fleets will be outfitted with in-flight internet service by early 2011.

“Frontier is thrilled to expand its network in both Austin and Kansas City,” said Daniel Shurz, Vice President of Strategy and Planning. “The Austin community can now enjoy a new nonstop destination, in addition to greater access and more convenience when traveling to any of Frontier’s 70-plus destinations across the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica. We’re pleased to provide both communities with a better and different flying experience and our always affordable low fares.”

"The Austin-Kansas City nonstop is an important business connection, particularly in the financial and software fields. Plus, the leisure opportunities offered by both regions complement each other," said Austin-Bergstrom International Airport assistant director Jamy Kazanoff. "We thank Frontier for making this nonstop service possible."

"Frontier's strong commitment to Kansas City is evident through the addition of new nonstop routes,” said Tom McKenna, Kansas City Aviation Department Marketing Director. “Austin represents the third of four new destinations Frontier will add from Kansas City in 2010 alone."
