Wind Jet flights from Berlin to Rimini Italy
As of 27 March 2011, Italian low-cost airline Wind Jet will be offering two new flights a week from Berlin-Tegel to Rimini, the popular holiday destination on Italy’s Adriatic Sea, and a weekly flight from Berlin germany to Forli in Northern Italy.
Flights from Tegel will depart every Thursday and Friday at 12.10 p.m., landing in Rimini at 1.45 p.m. Return flights from Rimini will depart on the same days at 9.20 a.m., arriving in Berlin at 11.10 a.m.
A pleasant climate, fine wine and a relaxed lifestyle make Italy a popular holiday destination, and rightly so. Rimini is ideal for those who love strolling along the beach, sunbathing and calm waters yet are looking for cultural diversity and exciting nightlife. Located on the Adriatic Sea, Rimini is one of the most popular, if not the most popular holiday destination in Italy. But it has much more to offer than just a 15 km long sandy beach and a hip party scene: visitors to the historic city centre can see ancient Roman monuments such as the Arch of Augustus or the Tiberius Bridge. The city’s treasure is the early Renaissance Malatesta Temple built in the 13th century.

Norwegian Air flight Stockholm to Berlin Schoenefeld
Norwegian is further expanding its route network to Scandinavia. As of 1 June, the Norwegian airline will be operating flights to the Swedish capital Stockholm in addition to Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger. Flights from Berlin-Schoenefeld will depart every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. As of August 2011, the airline will be expanding its offerings to six weekly flights.

Most people who have visited Stockholm will speak of its beauty in glowing colours. Over 700 years old, the city is spread across 14 islands at the mouth of Lake Mälaren and can easily be discovered on foot. Located in the city centre are Gamla Stan (the Old Town) and Riddarholmen (the Knights’ Islet), whose history date back to the 13th century. Gamla Stan boasts the Royal Palace, wonderful churches and picturesque alleyways with numerous shops, restaurants and cafes. Stockholm is a combination of the historic and the modern. Those wanting to discover modern Stockholm should visit the Östermalm district or wander round the “Street” market held every other weekend in Södermalm. Alternatively, a morning walk on the island of Djurgården, a dip in Lake Mälaren from the Norr Mälarstrand (North Mälaren Shore) or a few quiet hours in the Hagaparken (Haga Park) are the perfect way to soak up Stockholm’s wonderful nature.

more legroom for Lufthansa Europe economy class
Lufthansa is installing some 32,000 new slimline seats on more than 180 aircraft in its short and medium-haul fleet,Thanks to the new, ergonomically shaped seat with its slim backrest, passengers will now have more than four centimetres extra legroom. As part of the new inflight service concept, passengers travelling in coach will again be offered snacks such as muesli bars and chocolate, even on domestic routes.
“With our new, more comfortable seats, completely upgraded cabin and enhanced inflight service, we are setting new standards on European routes,“ said Thierry Antinori, member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board, presenting the new cabin today in Frankfurt. “The slimline seats will also enable us to increase the seating capacity of our short and medium-haul fleet and thus ensure that we remain competitive in future.”
As the newly designed Recaro seats take up less room than the previous seats, up to two additional rows of seats can be installed on each aircraft. Lufthansa will thus be able to offer about 2,000 additional seats, which is equivalent to the capacity of twelve Airbus A320s. The new cabin on European routes will thus not only raise levels of passenger comfort but also make a substantial contribution towards improving cost efficiency.
In order to provide enough cabin stowage space for all passengers, the backs of the new seats have been designed with a different angle of inclination, so that the permitted cabin luggage trolleys fit effortlessly under the seat in front. In the case of Lufthansa’s Boeing 737 fleet, the overhead bins have been redesigned and made deeper, so that in future hand luggage can also be stowed sideways to the direction of travel – as has long since been possible on Airbus models.
The new seat is also a real bonus from an ecological point of view. Thanks to the materials used and the seat’s innovative structure, each row of seats is more than twelve kg lighter than the previous seat rows. That is equivalent to an almost 30 per cent reduction in weight, which in turns lowers specific fuel consumption. In spite of the additional rows of seats in the cabin, the empty weight of a Boeing 737, for example, is thus reduced by more than 300 kg. In addition, the Lufthansa Group is pioneering the use of a lighter, chrome-free – and thus more environmentally friendly – leather for the seat upholstery. The interior of the backrest is perforated, which ensures high breathability and also boosts seating comfort.
Lufthansa is also making innovations in its inflight service, and passengers will notice a tangible difference. Economy Class passengers travelling on domestic routes will not just be offered the usual wide selection of beverages, but will also be served a snack. On cross-border European services with a flight time of more than two hours, they will be offered a hot meal. In future, on its European routes, Lufthansa will cooperate with renowned chefs. The first one to create menus as part of Lufthansa’s new inflight service is the German star-rated chef Heiko Antoniewicz.

transaero airline tickets price reduced as lower fuel cost
As of February 15 Gazpromneft-Aero again reduced jet fuel prices for Transaero Airlines at Russian airports. The price was cut by 500 rubles per ton. This move is not the first fuel price reduction in February. On February 9 Gazpromneft-Aero reduced prices for into-plane fuelling by about 1,000 rubles per ton and prior to this the company had imposed a moratorium on jet fuel price hikes, keeping them at January levels despite continuing growth of prices on international and domestic jet fuel markets.
Transaero has leveraged the fuel discount to reduce airfare on a number of domestic routes, primarily for flights to cities of the Far East, Siberia and the Urals. The proportional airfare reduction averages from 4 to 7% per ticket.
"Gazpromneft-Aero policy is aimed at supporting one of its strategic partners in an unstable situation on the Russian jet fuel market," said Gazpromneft-Aero General Director Vladimir Yegorov.
"For our company, it is essential that passengers benefit directly from the reduction of fuel cost,'' said Transaero General Director Olga Pleshakova. ''I am confident that the partnership between Transaero and Gazpromneft-Aero will continue to grow and develop.''

low one-way fare on lufthansa domestic routes
Lufthansa is introducing a new, low one-way fare on all its domestic routes in Germany - Passengers will be able to fly any of the airline's 41 routes within Germany from as little as 59 euros, all-inclusive. Lufthansa's lowest fare will thus also be available to passengers who wish to travel one way only. whether from Cologne to Berlin, Hamburg to Munich or Frankfurt to Bremen
The new tickets can be booked on Lufthansa's 3,400 domestic flights, subject to availability. “Our fare system will, however, continue to be geared largely to tickets for return flights, since most passengers generally also require a return flight,” Antinori explains. “In price terms, booking a round-trip flight will continue to be the best option.”
“Passengers - particularly those travelling on domestic routes - sometimes only need a one-way ticket, We are now offering these passengers a single ticket for 59 euros, along the same lines as our popular lowest return fare, which starts at 99 euros.”

As a hallmark of Lufthansa's First Class service, top-of-the-range materials such as matt-brushed metal and scarred leather have been used throughout the cabin. Besides the interior design and fittings, the First Class standard includes comfort items such as temperature-regulating blankets and pillows and the amenity kit from Porsche Design containing cosmetic articles from La mer.
The Business and Economy Class cabins on the Boeing 747-400 are also being refurbished. The entrance area will be revamped in the latest design, and new lavatories will be installed. In Economy Class, passengers can already put together their own entertainment programme on their individual monitors. They can choose from a wide range of feature films in as many as eight language versions, popular TV series and fascinating documentaries. In addition to the on-screen service information about the flight, passengers have a choice of radio programmes and music channels, and there is also a special children's programme. Furthermore, the new Economy Class seats - thanks to the innovative design of the back rests and optimised ergonomics - provide five centimetres of additional personal space and legroom.
