iShop iTravel Team is complete "shopping around the world in 80 days Trip

iShop founders Christina Valhouli iTravel and John Vipond, set-off in late November 2010 to discover of the world's best shops, restaurants and hotels, inspired by the Phileas Fogg travel in the novel by Jules Verne. As they departed, landed in Mumbai Fogg from London, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong and led east, Shanghai, Sydney, LA and New York, visiting among other cities.

The team chronicled their shopping adventures in their blog: www.itravelishop.com/blog

Despite the best attempts to keep the Vipond shops at a reporting level, managed a few purchases to sneak their way into the team the luggage, including jewelry and hand-blocked prints of Jaipur; custom made clothes in Shanghai; and silk cushion covers in Beijing.

Some of the highlights, lowlights and the best discoveries of the trip are:

Favorite purchase: custom-made costumes in Shanghai, and custom Vipond "urban Safari shirt in Delhi

The purchase that got away: despite a visit to almost every shop in Jaipur, Mumbai and Delhi, can never find her duck-egg blue Valhouli pashmina

Best Adventure: navigating Grade 5 Rapids along the Wairoa River in New Zealand

Best of the meal: a toss-up between fire on The Park New Delhi and T8 in Shanghai

Scariest meal: viscous lamb Soup in Beijing, which as a biology lesson in a bowl (think furry green stomach lining was)

Best place to max out the credit card: Hong Kong, or New York
